Hello, the new website it great. However, I just need to raise one issue … the video feed is not as good as last year … in fact, drastic deterioration. I used to have a wonderful 1000p+ HD feed. Now, it is YouTube 360p – 480p quality.
Please … I will still watch, but it would be so much nicer in full HD.

Thanks your feedback.
We’re using Youtube to host our videos for the time being because
it is the best and most popular way for most people to watch
videos on the web. If you’re watching from work, your boss may
not want you to watch videos or be on facebook while he’s
paying you, so he may have blocked all streaming sites via the
company’s firewall. If you can watch Youtube on your computer, you should be able to watch ZA NEWS videos.
We will soon change our hosting platform in a way that will make it a much more enjoyable viewing experience. But more on this later…

YouTube has an HD video quality option too, and here you can go from 360p to +1000p HD format … just a thought ….

firstly, welcome back. i must say i really enjoyed the videos of the 2nd season. on the issue of hosting your videos on Youtube and Facebook, i understand the platform is great. however a large percentage of Zanews fans watch it at work and this is causing a problem. i introduced a lot of people at my office to Zanews with the hilarious videos last season and they really love them and eagerly waited for the 2nd season. now they’re calling me complaining so i tried a few proxy sites and i finally managed to watch a few episodes. so please find another way as this will alienate most of us as we all know internet access in this country is really expensive.

Nice new look, but what has happened to the highlights from 2009 which were up a week or two ago? I would particularly like to see the compilations of Thabos’ Top 5 Bar Monologues and Peter de Villiers’ Top 10 Most Offensive Statements. Can you please add these pages back to the site or tell me where else I can find them? Thanks.

You keep telling us that you are going to fix the stuttering/streaming problem, and yet you never do. We can send a guy to the moon, and yet your technical people can’t seem to fix this problem. Compared to last year, it is a thousand per cent WORSE and instead of being a fabulously enjoyable experience, I find my blood pressure soaring with aggravation. It’s kak.

Your bunch of Nerds and IT techs need to be fired. The streaming is AWEFULL. Get your act together – you’re starting to behave like the ANC more and more by the day: Wonderful promises but NO delivery whatsoever.

Trust that we are still working on a solution for our fans who cannot watch the content in great conditions. It just takes time to get things to where we want to take them.
We can’t reveal what it is just yet but you should be excited once you see/hear about it.

@ Zanews: Hey man this country is a d-e-m-o-c-r-a-c-y. You cannot hide your actions from the peopols. Transparancy, transparancy, transparancy remember? Do you want me to accuse & suspect you of unconstitutional behaviour?

@ Zanews: By the way, you need to cater for the “uneducated stingy masses”. We normally only have Telkom ADSL 250 mbps bundle @ R135.00 pm, not Vodaphone/MTN 3G @ R500+ pm. (And all access to the .co.za sites on Telkom are basically for free.) Eish man, these high 3G connections are expensive!

I think ZA News is absolutely brilliant.
But I have a few questions:
1. How can I find past programs? It used to be easy on the old website to find them, but now I can’t find them.
2. How did you get Charlize Theron (and her dress!) on a program SO quickly? Was it the 10 hrs difference between LA and South Africa?
3. I agree that Tim looks rather ill – what happened to him?

Hi there, I’m still looking for the highlights compilations from 2009 which were up on your site in early Feb. I have looked at the YouTube channel ZA news TV as you suggested but I can’t find them there. I would particularly like to see the compilations of Thabos’ Top 5 Bar Monologues and Peter de Villiers’ Top 10 Most Offensive Statements. I understand that you are planning to add an archive to this site at some stage but, for now, can’t you just add back those few 2009 highlights? Thanks.

Last time I watched was 6 March and streaming was SO bad (getting only 2 or 3 seconds at a time) – gave up in disgust. Thought I would try today to see if anything had been done, but NO! just empty promises …. seems this is a sign of the times here in the RS of A. Just have this lousy taste in my mouth.

Sheesh! Stop complaining people!! What I do is mute my computer, press play and let the video run through while I do something else, check my mail, make a cup of tea, etc… Then when it’s finished running through once I can press play and watch it without reload interruption. Rather than complain, find an alternate solution – so you can keep watching this awesome entertainment platform put forward for us all to enjoy.
Well done ZA News… You are great and it’s nice to finally be able to laugh at the deplorable things happening in SA.

Your old web site was better! How does one find yesterday’s and previous videos? The most important aspect should be ease of viewing previous videos. This is the most difficult with the new site that is full of blogs and other rubbish!
