Go Behind the Scenes of ‘Point of Order’, the Funniest Show Online and on TV Since the Opening of Parliament

By ZANEWS November 7, 2015

Imagine a comedy panel show, like ‘QI’ or ‘Would I Lie To You’, but with an entirely South African feel. A mock parliament where local comedians become “Government” and “Opposition”, and face off against each other in a series of rounds, each designed to test the knowledge, wit, and quick thinking ability of the comedians. And presiding over it all: Madam Speaker, gavel in hand, ready to keep order, and possibly even recognise people.

Hosted by Sibongile “Sbosh” Mafu, and starring as chief whips, Tumi Morake and Nik Rabinowitz, with Trevor Gumbi, Celeste Ntuli, Deep Fried Man, Mark Banks, Anne Hirsch, Louw Venter, Sne Dladla, Angel Campey, Nina Hastie, Joey Rasdien, Dave Levinsohn, Warren Robertston… and with special guests Chester Missing, Zapiro, Prof Tim Noakes, Jeannie D, Rebecca Davis, Pumzille Van Damme, and many more.

Watch South Africa’s top comedians and the team behind Emmy nominated Puppet Nation ZA work together and before a live audience to create one of the funniest, wittiest, most provocative show that’s ever hit South Africa.

Premiering on StarTimes One on Saturday 14 November at 08:30 PM, and watch online on www.pointoforder.tv and on https://vimeo.com/ondemand/pointofordertv.

“There’s a new Parliament in town and it’s filled with comedians - REAL comedians, professionally trained comedians!”

“The comedians don’t know what’s coming next, we get to see their brains working in front of us, and they spark off each other, it’s a wonderful thing to see!”
